Final Double Page Spread

This is my final design for my double page spread in my magazine. As with my contents page and my front cover, I kept to my plain white background theme to make the images stand out more and be the main focus. For the text, I still used black and red and for my title I spread out the words in a "scatter" fashion. This was to create a edgy look that would attract my audience to read my article. I considered having my image slightly larger, and laying it over both pages and having the writing surrounding it more (as shown in my double page spread research, featuring Nicki Minaj) but decided against doing so because I wanted to keep the text more separate.

Final Contents Page

Here is my final contents page for my final magazine design. I chose to use just one photograph, and comply with the simplistic theme that I had already abided by. Again, in a similar style to my front cover, I used red, black and white as my colour scheme, and here I decided to use a black and white photograph as I thought it looked more dramatic and stylised. I thought by making the photo less posed and having my cover star have a bit more obvious character; the reader would be more attracted to reading the article.
I added professional touches such as a website name at the bottom of the page, and the editor's signature in a different "hand-writing style" font.

Final Cover

This is my finished magazine cover. Overall I was pleased with my result and felt I complied well to generic music/fashion magazine genres.
I used the colour red to make the cover more eye catching and I used a photograph that was suitable in attracting my target audience of alternative, young, middle class people interested in subjects such as photography, performing arts, creative design and technology.
